Father, son graduate at Clarion

 Diane Wells got an early Mothers Day present Saturday at Clarion University Commencement Ceremonies. Both her husband and son were among the 851 students receiving diplomas during commencement ceremonies Saturday at Clarion University.

Five Clarion University faculty members retire

 Five Clarion University faculty members were honored during a retirement reception in Moore Hall attended by President Joseph Grunenwald, other administrators, colleagues, and staff. Dr. Sandra McKee, Dr. Donna Poljanec, Dr. William English, Dr. Wade Lancaster, and Dr. Thomas Stuhldreher combined for 118 years of teaching for Clarion University.

Venango Campus Alumni Chapter announces upcoming meetings

 Venango Campus Alumni Chapter will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., in the conference room of the Robert W. Rhoades Center at the campus. The chapter welcomes new members and is open to anyone who has attended classes at the Venango Campus. The group was organized to bring Venango Campus alumni together to socialize and have fun while advocating for the campus and its students in the community and beyond.

The segment will air Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29 at 12:30 a.m. WQED is Pittsburgh’s PBS station and airs on Channel 13.
