Nanotechnology program at Clarion University

Clarion University will host a presentation by the Penn State Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in room127, Peirce Science Center. The presentation will discuss nanotechnology-educational and career opportunities. The event is free and open to the public.

Nanotechnology will play a key role in the next industrial revolution. Clarion University’s students are in excellent position to be leaders of this nanotechnology revolution by minoring in nanotechnology and attending the Penn State Nanotechnology capstone semester. The program will explain how to take advantages of the nanotechnology educational opportunities Pennsylvania provides to position students for exciting careers in a multitude of areas.

Topics that will be covered include: the basics of nanotechnology; the economic outlook for nanotechnology; current commercial applications; current examples of nanotechnology research; and resources for nanotechnology expertise and education available across the state through the Pennsylvania Nanofabrication Technology (NMT).
