DiFonzo named Clarion University PAGES director

Brian DiFonzo of Titusville was appointed director of printing services at Clarion University PAGES (Printing and Graphics Express Services) on March 10.

DiFonzo takes the new position after 19 years in various positions within the publishing industry.

“We are pleased to have Brian join our staff in this important position,” said Ron Wilshire, assistant vice president for university relations. “His experiences in publications and management and concentration on consumer service will help our operation.”

PAGES is part of the Center for University Relations at Clarion, including marketing, web development, news services, sports information, and general public relations.

A 1989 graduate of St. Bonaventure University in Olean, N.Y., with a bachelor of arts in mass communication, DiFonzo started his career as sports editor of The Titusville Herald before taking over the same post at The Corry Journal. After a short stint there, he became an account executive at The Titusville Herald in April 1992 before being named operations manager at The Herald in June 2001. His last position at The Herald was advertising director, a position he held since October 2005.

“I am extremely excited to become a part of the Clarion University team,” said DiFonzo. “I believe my experience in all facets of the newspaper industry have given me a strong base to be a productive member of the talented PAGES staff. I look to continue a customer-service focus to what we do here at PAGES.”

A native of Corry, he is married to the former Tina Bennett of Franklin. They currently reside in Cherrytree Village just south of Titusville.
