The Clarion University Office of Finance and Administration has provided an update on the major construction projects underway at Clarion University.
Campbell Hall Demolition and South Campus Parking Lot Campbell Hall demolition has basically been completed. As possible, scrap is being recycled and reused, some possibly as fill for the construction of the new parking lot to be constructed on the site. Debris is being removed and the site prepared for the parking lot. Approval of the parking lot project has been requested from the University Council of Trustees and the State System Board of Governors. Dining Hall Steel roof trusses and archways have been installed. A significant amount of the blocks have been laid on the north side of the exterior, but because of the continuing work in this area, expanded scaffolding will keep the road between Carrier and the new dining hall restricted to one lane. Entry to lot 5, lot 6 and lot H should be made from Wood Street. Science-Technology Building Steel work and floors for the upper stories of the building are nearly complete. Wall framing work which will accommodate installation of the exterior wall is underway. On-Campus Residences The on-campus residence south of Chandler Dining Hall has shown the most progress. Here the exterior framing ready for future installation of windows can be seen. For both residence sites, with more favorable weather, contractors are expected to make up weather-related delays. Naming Opportunities Available Naming opportunities are available for projects.
