Gent presents paper at ACRES Conference

Dr. Pamela Gent, associate professor of special education and rehabilitative sciences at Clarion University, presented a refereed paper at the American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES) Conference, in Charleston, W.V.

The paper was entitled, "Service-Learning: Building on the Strengths and Traditions of Rural Communities so as to Support Inclusion and the tenets of No Child Left Behind."

The paper examined the use of service-learning in rural communities so as to assist all students, even those with significant disabilities, in accessing and making progress in the general education curriculum.
